Marketing

The Alexandra Institute takes an active role as regards marketing in various fields:

  • Promotion of the Århus region
    The Alexandra Institute is a central player in promoting the IT competencies in the Århus region with special focus on the IT City of Katrinebjerg. A promotion, which for example is based on the fact that the IT companies in the Århus region have the Danish record for creating new jobs. The County of Aarhus and the Municipality of Aarhus finance the promotion through the IT Council Region Århus. Work is effected from the Alexandra Institute with collaborations across the region to educational institutions, companies and public authorities. The Department of Communications of the Institute promotes news and research results from the IT City of Katrinebjerg, e.g. through the monthly newsletter from the IT City.
  • Promotion of Jutland and Funen
    Through participation in the Jutland-Funen IT effort, among others as operator of ISIS Katrinebjerg, the Alexandra Institute takes an active role in marketing the IT competences in Jutland and Funen.
  • Exposure of the Alexandra Institute members
    One of the main focus areas of the Alexandra Institute is to expose its activities more broadly through arrangements of events, presentations, participation in conferences, publication of supplements to newspapers, articles in journals and newspapers, on the web, through publication of folders etc. This is a principal factor in the profiling of the individual member companies in relation to potential business partners, customers, politicians, the general public, and labour force including students, as a company at the cutting edge of developments.
  • Visits by customers
    Members have the option of inviting their customers to Katrinebjerg. A lot of members supplement their customer arrangements with a visit to Katrinebjerg with a presentation of new research and technology. Normally, it is possible to arrange 1 or 2 visits per year dependent on the extent of the visit.
